I won! I WON!!!

Someone pinch me!  I can't believe this has happened, but I actually won something!!

Those of you who read lots of blogs know how common sponsor giveaways are.  Some blogs have them weekly, some more often, it seems.  I usually find myself drooling over whatever is being offered, but I rarely enter for several reasons.

1.  I don't need or won't use or already have whatever it is.  If I have something similar that fills the need, I figure it's better to let someone more "worthy" or "deserving" win.  Go figure.

2.  I'm not a regular reader of the blog.  I downright refuse to enter a contest on a blog I don't read.  I just don't think that's right.

3.  I'm a pessimist at heart.  I never win anyway.

Um, except today!!  Today, I won a totally awesome and 100% functional Extend-A-Step Ladder from Sarah at the Ugly Duckling House!  WAHOO!  When I entered the giveaway, I never thought I would win, but I genuinely wanted one of these babies:

And, after sending my neighbor's trusty old extension ladder through our guestroom window over the summer, I had sworn off any exterior home maintenance that involved leaving the ground.  And now after winning one of these, I have renewed confidence in myself and gutter cleaning.
