In the spirit of thanksgiving, I made a small change to the burlap banner that has been hanging from the mantel. This was my plan all along, but since I made the banner before Halloween, I wanted to wait.
This is what the banner looked like this morning.
And, this is what it looks like now:
This change took about 5 minutes and some stencils and craft paint I already had on hand.
I think it's a great reminder for me to see this every time I walk through the living room. I have so, so much to be thankful for. My cup truly runneth over!
xo,
Emily
Let me guess -- your camera took the first two photos and Colin took the last two with his camera? What a difference!
ReplyDeleteSorry we missed our annual telephone singing tradition. I just realized it and the kids are snug in their beds. We can perform our best rendition on Saturday. See you then!
Yep, you got it! I am hoping all future 'after' blog pictures will be taken by him and of a certain quality. He seems to be buying into this idea. He insisted upon editing these before I posted them if his name was going to be associated with him. Aw, my little perfectionist!
ReplyDeleteI really like that banner! Really creative! I wish I would've done something like that for Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteIt's not too late! :)
ReplyDeleteEmily, I love the little banner. It's simple and festive. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteAmanda- I hope you and yours have a lovely day!
